I lived about 30 mins from this place when this happened. I was there for military. I did not have my concealed carry because it seemed impossible to get in the 3 years I was there. I always think about this scenario and its mostly why i carry everyday now. Say the same thing happens tomorrow at my local Wal-Mart. I watch some 18 year old walk in with a rifle and see them start shooting. Do I just try to tackle him, do i shoot them? My concern is if I shoot them but legally I did something wrong and I end up going to jail because of it. (like something stupid like wal-mart says no firearms were allowed in the store so I was wrong to shoot them)
