I was hoping someone could help me understand if this recent decision by the court of appeals of the 9th circuit will potentially have any impact on if I will be able to buy a more normal AR-15 in CA.
From what I understand, the current assault laws in California are still in place and there is going to be further activity in the court on this case. But can any of it be consequential? The media reports that the judge struck down the old ban from 1989 but there has been more recent assault bans since then. So lets say this goes to the supreme court and they rule in favor of overturning the ban, are we still going to be subject to the assault ban from a few years back? Thanks.
