I bought my first handgun while in CA about 6 months ago. I’m active duty mil right now and when I bought the firearm I was exempt from getting a FSC. Prob won’t buy my next one until I am separated, and I know once I’m out the exemption no longer applies. I’ve read that a FSC is good for five years but couldn’t find anything on if my exemption during service will count or if I’ll need to get one once I’m out. No worries if so, I’ve heard anyone who can spell the word gun can pass it and it’s only 25$, I’m just curious.
Thanks!
