A few months ago, I noticed my Siamese had some snot crusted on the outside of his nose. He let me pick it off but it is red under where the dried snot was. It doesn't seem to hurt him when I pick it off and he is breathing fine. I eliminated any glade plug ins or anything with fragrance and still noticed the dried snot. I was thinking about possibly putting some animal safe coconut oil on the redness but didn't want to until consulting. Is the coconut oil a good plan or are there other alternatives? Snot is white, no green or yellow snot and no foul odor associated.
I have not taken him to a vet to have this looked at but am willing to if necessary.
