Post Body

I brought home my sweet cat two days ago, and her stomach looked like this on the day we adopted her. It’s currently shaved because she was recently spayed. She apparently had kittens before she was in the shelter, so it would’ve been at least a month ago from the information I have. The people at the humane society didn’t mention any concerns about the swelling/engorgement so I feel like I’m probably being paranoid, but I wanted additional input. Her stomach doesn’t feel hot and doesn’t seem majorly sensitive. She hasn’t had a great appetite (unless I’m offering churu treats) but I assumed that was due to adjusting to her new home. I’m working on finding her a vet appointment because the humane society offers a free exam voucher with adoption, but I wanted to get some input in the meantime.
