Cat foamed at mouth/drooled for a minute now is fine?
Post Body

So about 10 minutes ago my cat was playing with some random paper from my partners work and he was in the bathroom. He then randomly came running out freaking out and i thought something was stuck to his face so I went up to him and realized he was foaming. He then ran away from me for like a minute while drooling. Not a lot of drool but he doesnt normally drool so it was a noticeable amount.

Then after about a minute he calmed down and stopped drooling/foaming and now is just being normal. I thought maybe there was dust or something on the paper, or even something in the bathroom he licked? The only things in there & out right now are hairspray, aquaphor and toothpaste. There is a little toothpaste on the counter from this morning that I noticed maybe I dropped and he licked? Or I was thinking maybe the hairspray residue from spraying it got on his paws and he licked them? Or maybe he hopped in the tub and licked some soap idk.

I don’t know. It’s nothing that could really poison him unless he ate a significant amount of a can/tube which he didnt so i’m not sure what to do. He is fine. I played with him to see if he was sick and he still played for a little. Then i thought maybe ill give him some treats to get the taste out of his mouth.

I really just want to know if i should be concerned or if he probably just tasted something gross. The only other time i saw him react this way was when I gave him gabapentin but that was a one time thing.

UGH im so stressed out and know hes likely fine but i need some reassurance.
