My usually vocal tux is lethargic, thinner than usual, and most of all, not at all vocal!
Post Body

As the title says, my wonderful 5 year old tux, Twitch, is usually super vocal, and very energetic. He *will* let you know if the food or water is out, and he'll stop at nothing to make sure you love on him. Today, he's not been his usual self, and has gotten sick and vomited bile at least a handful of times. He's not eating, not drinking, very slow and low energy, and most of all, he's not meowing at all. I can pick him up and he won't say a thing, when usually he will voice his protest and either attempt to twist out of your arms or cuddle closer.

This is worrying me. My mother says it might be renal failure or impaction, but as far as I can tell these symptoms only seem to have started today. He's a member of my family, and I don't know what to do. We can't afford to go to the vet, and even if we could, we're a one car family and that car doesn't get back on this side of town until long after the vet is closed (my mother is a teacher).

I'll post a picture of him when I can, but nothing (externally) seems to be wrong with him. I can't smell anything but kitty breath from his lips, no decay or putridity seems to be coming from him like when we had a cat w a cancerous cyst. His eyes seem a little sunken, but I can't tell at the moment and will look more in the morning.

I've been through a lot of animals through my life, and I've loved every single one of them, Twitch being no exception. I don't know what I'll do if I lose him...
