This is so dumb. I have a cat who I rescued from the shelter 3 years ago. We have had some issues because she was found in a dumpster at around 4 weeks old so she wasn't properly weaned or socialized. Anyway on to the current problem...
Ruth has become TERRIFIED of ceiling fans since my living room fan stopped working yesterday. She came downstairs last night, looked up at the stopped fan, puffed up, then ran upstairs and hasn't come out to eat, drink or use the litterbox. She's usually VERY food/treat driven but I can't coax her out for anything!!! I've tried regular treats, tuna, Whiskey's gravy bits, and baby food.
I live in Phoenix, Arizona so ceiling fans are in almost every room of my house.
Any ideas on how to show my cat that ceiling fans aren't dangerous??
