I have an interview tomorrow morning and, despite almost two consecutive weeks of preparation, I'm still somewhat anxious about the interview itself. A week ago I shadowed an employee who is doing the job currently and I found out exactly what the job will entail. I confirmed that I have done everything the current employee does and said employee asked if I could help him/her with an assignment. I took on the assignment and feel as though that, coupled with the fact that I have several years of experience doing the aforementioned duties/tasks, and took the time to sit down and learn about what the job actually entails, should give me a massive advantage over other candidates.
I have prepared seven pages of notes, addressing how my experience applies to the job itself. I have gone over the duty statement, MQs, and desirable qualifications, and know how I will weave those into my answers. And I have integrated the STAR method into each of my (potential) responses.
What I want to know is this: have I done enough prep? Am I overthinking this? Is there anything I missed?
