I got an email today advertising my same exact position. I work in Sacramento and the other job is in Orange County. The salary they are offering is the same as mine at ~$4400 per month. I do alright in Sacramento, but it is considered “low income” by the state’s own statistics in Orange County. This is a job that requires a degree and a few years of experience too.
Why is there no salary adjustment like the feds have? Who are they getting to do these jobs? Can anyone who works in the expensive coastal areas like SF, LA, and San Diego weigh in on what your situation is like?
