My old showerhead was a real workhorse, made back when quality was worth a damn. Years of use where I would just get in, spin around a couple of times, wash my hair and be out in 5 minutes, 10 minutes if I wanted to warm up. Anyway time and lack of maintenance caught up with it and it fell apart recently.
Mom bought a showerhead, and knowing her, the absolute cheapest one she could find. She tells me that she can't find anything with metal anymore, it's all plastic now. The thing is fully plastic & silicon, and while I love the rub to clean silicon nozzles as a way of fighting against the hard water, they're too small. An adequate description of the showerhead would be that the damn thing wets the user. That's it. I've broken out the washcloth to scrub clean and even then I feel gritty, like today, after because the showerhead isn't washing away anything. Takes a full 5 seconds for the shower water to start running out of my medium length hair, and literally getting "The Shower Head" comments from my coworkers. I timed myself, and found that my shower time has doubled. To make matters worse in trying to improve the showerhead, we've already damaged the damn thing and it's shooting water out of the neck - haven't even had the thing for a fucking month.
Sorry for the rant. I just want to feel like me again. Point me to the good stuff. Budget? I don't know, max 100 but will spend a little more if it's worth it. Long Island, New York.
