Hi BIFLers, I am searching for a birthday gift for my husband, who has a gigantic head. It's 26" in circumfrence, which I've found out is a size 8 1/4, 8 or 3XL.

I want to buy him a warm waterproof hat that he can wear on his morning walks when it rains, which here in Oregon is pretty much an every day occurance November-March.

Filson's tincloth packer hat is his ideal hat, but of course they only go up to 2XL. I've searched the sub and that's how I found Tilley's T3 cotton duck, but I have no idea if it's warm or how it performs in heavy winter rain. We're on the columbia gorge so the wind can get pretty brutal.

I'm near at the end of my rope. I've even looked at leather cowboy hats, because at least they'd be water resistant?? Any help would be appreciated.
