Do people follow the rule on “no white after Labor Day?”

Always hear this and no idea where it comes from, but wondering if it’s even a fashion rule anymore??

I’ve got some all white pieces I’m looking to make into an outfit but I’m not sure if it’s something I need to be cognizant of??

If it’s also worth noting I work in a call center that supports the US Military(intentionally vague) where I dress somewhere between Business Casual/Business Professional but definitely leaning more towards Professional. Cause I believe this rule stemmed from Military propriety??

That rule is ancient history!
