Canadians with mutant vehicles, do you have any issues crossing the border in either direction?

We're taking two of our MV's with us this summer to an event, and then planning on continuing north into BC by means of Vancouver on the way up, and Chief Joseph (near Calgary) on the way home. Are we going to have any issues with multiple unlicensed/uninsured seriously modified (Prius that is cut in half and unrecognizable as a prius) vehicles? I'm just thinking this through and can see a situation that is both time consuming and frustrating. Any advice? To unload them and cross the border without them would add 1,000 miles to the end of our trip going back to Seattle to retrieve them.
