Bumble IRL Events?

There's several in my city, but very little info about logistics.
Will I have to speak to people to find out if they're gay, straight, bi, looking for friends, etc? I'm a gay guy that uses both date and BFF mode (looking primarily for other gay men in both modes).
I went to a gay speed dating event before, but the event page was pretty detailed on what would happen (use an app to mark people for friendship and/or a date for matching) compared to what Bumble provides on event pages.
