This is my anecdotal case so take with a grain of salt but fair warning to all.
For context in a given week the last year or so I would typically get around 15-20 matches. I had purchased boost in the past for a month here or there (usually after a few drinks) but never saw a major difference in quantity or quality of matches.
I date a fair amount and decided that the lifetime boost subscription would be a good purchase given that I do not plan to stop dating in the coming years and I make bad purchasing decisions after a couple of drinks. I purchased the lifetime subscription around the beginning of the year and ever since my match volume plummeted. At most I'll get 5 matches a week but usually its closer to 2 or 3.
I have no proof of how Bumble prioritizes showing profiles but I realized that now that I made that lifetime purchase, Bumble knows they have maxed out their monetization of me so it literally makes zero sense for Bumble to prioritize my profile. Kind of a bummer but I hope I at least that this helps people that may be on the fence about buying the lifetime sub.
