The first time I used this app a few years ago I got a nice relationship out of it. When that relationship ended and after a bit of self improvement I figured I would get on the app that gave me a relationship. Bumble as an app has really went down imo. The amount of hookers and fake profiles that I've seen has really made the app sour to me. You can't tell me they aren't hookers when they say, message me on snap and/or Instagram - username with codeword 'insert random word here' with crazy amount of extra letters. I was also wondering if people who have their Instagram usernames in their bio (which is a lot) is technically contact details because messenger intergraded into Instagram. I have had 2 profiles that have liked me and have not showed up in my algorithm in over a year! If these 2 profiles are fake or abandoned which I assume they are, then I would prefer that they were not there at all. The "That's Everyone" screen is so disheartening to see day after day after day. The only filters I have are that I'm seeking women, 28 -70, and 50 mile radius. When I did get matched which is rare and few the ghosting I have had which is every match made me think I could be a ghostbuster. All they would have to say is "I'm not interested" and I would at least have that rejection instead of nothing. It's really a shame because the amount of profiles that I have read that said they don't want to be ghosted or ghosting is lame is ridiculous. I understand that online dating is what it is when you're a guy but damn it still doesn't change the feeling. Today I got a reminder notification from my calendar app that if I haven't gotten a date or any meaningful conversations to give up. Which is what I'm going to do. I could go on about other things and facts/opinions about dating, but I have a feeling it would yeet this.
