Is it desperate to extend the match timer?

I’m a conventionally unattractive man, so I don’t happen to get a lot of matches on bumble. The few that I do seem to just let the timer run out without ever saying anything. Would it be considered desperate of me to extend the timer, giving them more time to mull it over? Or women looking to see if a man is interested by wanting to extend the timer?
