I went to the PBR event in Arcadia and the way I understood how it works is that there is the first round. The best 12 scores of the first round then go to the short round. After the short round the aggregate scores are added to determine the winner.

So after watching the first round, it seemed that about 6 riders did not ride in the short round and some riders that did not qualify and even got bucked were riding in the short round. There was also no rhyme or reason I could see on how the ones that got bucked off got into the short round. Espescially since they surpassed riders with better times or better buck off times. Hopefully some PBR guru can explain what is happening before I go to day 2.
