This is hard to make as the reliance on a players patientence indicates a potential great Cyclops from a bad one, as the skill gap is one of the highest in game.
TIPS Learning to counter shield heroes in king of the hill will help with your confidence in supporting your team.
Cyclops has a defensive scan for the most part due to his low movement speed compared to Raven. What this means is often times you will need to keep a scan for when reviving teammates, this allows you to check if they are pushing or not.
Scan cancels are important in finding players, this helps when healing right after a fight and finding safe spots or to have information so your team can push up.
Learn to play patiently stop rushing evrything and play peaks, slowing down to ambush Leviathan is how you kill him majority of the time, do you want to kill or be killed?.
TERRITORY This is not commonly spoken about in regards to position but if you record your games and watch them back majority of the times you "rushed " and ended up dying is beacuse your territory was skewed, imaging territory as the area you start off in, as you teamates spread out the higher risk of you losing space/dying as your defensive capacity is more spread out.
When a single teamate deciGears o push the weak point will emerge when pushing into enemy space, this is why often times once one player is killed it is harder to recover.
So how does this relate to Cyclops?, and why talk about this at all?
Well to answer the first I need to focus on the second question , when you play a hero that is support if a player rushs you will need to make a judgement call (this happens after scanning enemies), determining how "strong" there territory is, this will need to be practiced on raven and cyclops for evaluation of pushing.
How does this relate to cyclops? The affect a scan has on most people tells them to back away, which is why i recommend saving one to use before you revive to help "kill a push".
Knowing territory can be the make or break point when supporting as Cyclops as keeping close you your teammates with being on top of them gives the best chance at pushing or retreating.
Gears I am going to leave a poll for marble index leg vs precision implant,as you could tell playing slowly is Cyclops's biggest strength and the precision implant is not the way to go (after 5k games using it).
Depending on where you are in the game and what you can invest is hard to estimate but I will try to make certain sets for different levels of progression.
Gear builds will be covered in next post as i will post screenshots for each stage of progression.
