Post Body

The wife of a couple I’ve been seeing all of a sudden decided that she needs to “take a step back” from me. Her reason is that she caught feelings that are on the same level as the feelings she had for her husband.

During our conversation, she explained how it’s hard for her to remove feelings for someone she’s seeing. & that her & her husband had gotten into some fun at Trapeze months ago for a ONS with a couple. They’d prefer an ongoing thing with a couple & they’d vouch to never go to an event/club & do that again cause it went horribly wrong

She went on to say that they aren’t talking to any other couples/singles. They have only exclusively been seeing me

My take on it is that I haven’t tried to control anything they’ve wanted to do in this LS. Seeing only me was their choice & I respect that she wants to take a step back

However, her saying that about seeing a couple contradicts in a way of her trying to navigate feelings. It would basically be the same situation all over again

I told her that I’d like to start using condoms if anything pops up about seeing others for health risks. But she said that won’t be her plan to see others while she sorts thru things & she feels like she’s holding me back

& she hopes I answer the phone when she calls…? I’m not mad at her at all but I’m not about to be on her timing

After we got off the phone she says:

Thank you for being understanding and listening.

I’ll see you when I see you 💗

How do you think I should handle communication if she reaches out again?
