Hi all,
I'm a 33 year-old woman in the process of interviewing for a creative marketing job in Buffalo. I applied on a whim, but as someone living in Southern California, the cost of living in your fair city is very, very appealing. I've been sick of California's shit for a couple of years now, but this is the first time since I moved here in 2012 that I've seriously looked at moving away.
My favorite thing about where I'm living now is easy access to outdoor stuff--hiking trails, camping, etc. What's that like in WNY? I'm not super hardcore. I like easy/moderate trails and I'm primarily a car camper, although I'd like to get into backpacking. I don't need much, but I do like to have it as an option on the weekends. I also like living in an area that's conservation-minded and treats its natural areas well. Based on this, do you think I'd feel at home up there?
