So one of the biggest complaints that gets the most upvotes and comments on this subreddit is the lack of truly high speed broadband access in the city. In a subreddit where 10 upvotes means success topics regarding Buffalo's poor broadband access are frequently posted here and always get above average upvoting and comments. Here's just some evidence:
While there has been efforts to bring high speed municipal broadband by those involved with the website CityofLight2.0 the community needs to let New York State know how important this is to us. I cannot think of anything this city needs more for its next step in its revitalization process than truly high speed internet and a responsible entity dedicated to improving the city's network. This Wednesday from 2PM - 7PM you have a chance to let New York State know during a Public Hearing at the Buffalo Library. It is likely there will be paid individuals there supporting the current industry standard of high priced mediocrity, it will be up to you to let New York State know otherwise. You've been notified - tell everyone who wants to see a change away from TWC!

Edit: Any sort of models, facts, evidence, etc. that may be useful to share at this meeting whether you can make it or not would be good to collect here for those who do go! While this is something many of us are passionate about let's bring evidence and working models to the meeting rather than just emotional frustration for maximum effectiveness!
