Help me beat my Friends with $10
Post Body

Hey, r/budgetbrews, let me start off by saying that I'm not a very active poster on reddit, but I've been lurking on the server for a while, so sorry if I format bad.

I've been playing commander with a group of my friends for months now, we all have a near to none budget for magic, so we'll usually just use the same precons we always do, sometimes swapping decks with each other.

Recently I've been playing MTGO and learned of a format called Penny dreadful, which I found interesting because of the low entry price. I thought of a way to adjust it for my friends and I, pitched it to them and they loved it!

The rules are as follows: 1. We will each pull a card out of my box of legendary creatures to be our commander 2.If you pull a creature with the partner mechanic, you may choose any creature with partner to be your commander, no matter price 3. Every card must be equal to or under $.10, Except for one "splurge card" which must be less than or equal to $1.00 4. The total cost of the deck must not exceed $10.00 5. We have one week to build the deck and at the end we will play 3 matches to determine the winner for a prize

Now the goal of this is to improve our collections, and make us better deckbuilders as a whole. I pulled [[Toggo, goblin wesponsmith]] as my commander and I've chosen [[ich-tekik, salvage splicer]] as my partner because I figured it would be easier to do on such a small budget than kodama.

Now I'm not a good deckbuilder but I want to improve, so if anyone could offer suggestions as to improvements I would love to hear them. Thank you!
