Hey everyone, I am hoping to join your ranks and Santa is getting me a Rega Planar 1 Plus. As this has a pre-amp built in, I understand I just need an amplifier and speaker set. I am more than a bit overwhelmed at this point on what amp / speakers to get and how to spread my budget between them.

Speaker wise I am leaning towards front ported as space comes at a premium in my city. From my research, the Elac Debut 2.0 b6.2 should be a decent choice @ ~£300?

My budget for the is probably £500 total, £600 if it really makes a difference, so that leaves ~£200-300 for an amp on the assumption spend should be 50-50 between the two?

Hope this is enough to explain where I am at, but I am a complete newbie to this so let me know if you needed any other information.
