How to integrate subwoofer with low wattage amp?

Post Body

Hey folks, apologies if there is a better place to post this.

Near field desktop setup: 2 KEF Q150s and a TubeCube 7, connected to the PC with aux -> RCA cable. No DAC yet, though I could be convinced to purchase one.

I really enjoy the crisp and warm tone of the audio so far, but I find that I am missing bass. My understanding is that the TubeCube is a pretty low-wattage receiver, so I'm unsure of whether or not a passive subwoofer would work. I've also seen people mention the possibility of splitting off the audio somehow and using an active subwoofer. I don't need very much volume from the subwoofer - this is really just intended for music and perhaps some audio editing at some point.

Any advice for a newbie?
