I currently have a pair of Polk Audio RT 105 bookshelf speakers and an Onkyo R-805x amp that I inherited from my late grandparents a few years back. They sound good to me, but they’re analog, so I have to plug my phone, iPad, or laptop in whenever I want to listen to music, and I can’t use them with my TV.
My girlfriend is moving in, so I have to do some updates to keep her happy, one of which is reducing the clutter in the entertainment center (fewer wires/devices, more functionality). Here is what I need:
- Bluetooth
- Powered
- Useable for music, movies, and gaming
I’d like to spend around $300, but for a quality system I’m willing to stretch to about $400. I really dig the retro look of the light wood housing and I’d like to stick with the style, but I’m a bit out of my element in searching for a suitable replacement, so I’m hoping you guys can help.
Side note: My living room space is about 260-300 sq. ft including the attached dining room, so not a crazy large space.
Thanks in advance for any help!
