Might be a stupid question...

I bought a JBL EON206P as a PA system for live music. I want to connect it to my PC for use as a studio monitor; and also to my Samsung S23FE with a lightning-C connector only, to play backing tracks. I'm not sure how to go about it. I have a line input cable going from channel 2 to a 3.5mm male end on my PC, but i get a crazy amount of feedback/static - so I know that's not the right way to go about this. These speakers are 2-way self-powered, so turning on the mixer might be the issue. Advice?
