Good day,
I recently purchased Fosi Audio's V3/P3 Bundle from Amazon.
Got it all hooked up and had to turn the volume ALL the way up on the amp and the preamp to get a quiet, dead, rather disappointing sound.
It's currently hooked up as such: U-Turn Orbit Special > AudioQuest Evergreen RCA > Fosi Audio P3 Preamp > monoprice RCA cable > Fosi Audio V3 Amp > Sony SS-B3000 Speakers.
The Fosi Audio bundle is meant to replace my Onkyo TX-8255 Receiver which still actually sounds great, I just wanted a smaller footprint.
Could this all be down to the Monoprice RCA cable? The tubes were seated as far in as I could get them (and looked comparable to images I found, so I don't think that's it). When I unplugged everything and hooked the receiver back up, it sounded great like it did before.
So perhaps I got a bad amp or preamp...
