So I've been scrolling through the user flairs on this sub, and I noticed the one called "Non-Affiliated". What exactly does this mean? Would it be similar to secular buddhism at all or is it a different term all on its own?

Because from my own understanding, it would just denote that one doesn't belong to any of the major sects within buddhism but still holds onto the core spiritual and practical beliefs. From this understanding I would think of myself as a "Non-Affiliated". But im not sure if this is correct.

I wouldn't consider myself a secular Buddhist necessarily, since I see that more as taking an atheistic view on the belief. But as I read more on secular buddhism it seems to also denote a more "agnostic" set of beliefs where the traditional beliefs within buddhism are met with a bit more skepticism. In that sense I might consider myself more secular, but again I'm not sure on it.

Any clarification for what each of these terms mean is of great help.
