Hi everyone!
I've moved near Newtown back in June from Northern NJ. I've been loving the area and exploring the nearby parks and local stores, it's honestly amazing to be able to have so much foliage around me. I've been trying to find ways to connect with new people, I've always had a really tiny friend group and moving so far away has been pretty rough. I'm totally down to meet people online or go out and mingle with people.
So yeah, if you have any recommendations or if you are near by and want to chat, leave a comment or send a message!
A bit about my hobbies and things I do:
- Fish keeping - started about 2 years ago and it has been a really zen experience. Have a 40G freshwater tank that I can spend hours staring that.
- Walking / Light Hikes - Like I said, I've really enjoyed exploring the parks and trails nearby
- Photography - This kinda goes hand in hand with walking and hiking, but I'm always looking for birds or anything interesting along the trail.
- Magic the Gathering - I use to drive over hour to play at Redcap's Corner in Philly, but the friend I would go with ended up getting a girlfriend and stopped playing. Haven't really touched the game since, but would love to go back. I played Modern.
- Motorcycles - I ride in all weather. I try to commute to work whenever I can. Done a few rides around the area and I absolutely love the roads compared to NJ.
Stuff I'm interested in trying:
- First and foremost - I'm absolutely down to step outside my comfort zone and try anything, I've been introduced into things that I've never would even think to trying and loved it - Fencing comes to mind.
- Archery - There's a place that does archery on Fridays. I've been dying to try it.
- Drawing and Painting - There use to be a wine and paint shop that I would do IT work for and I never got the chance to take up her offer for a session.
- Astronomy - I went to Cherry Springs State Park and I that was an experience. I couldn't capture what I saw with my DSLR, but it left me in awe to get the correct equipment and try again.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and hopefully I didn't scare anyone off.
