Today I went to “Duck Sauce’ a Chinese restaurant located in Newtown, Bucks County. I originally went to the restaurant to support a friend of mine who worked there, and her family owns it. But it was so good I had do a review. The first thing I had was crab rangoons. The crab rangoons was made in a way I did not expected. Usually when I order crab rangoons from a Chinese restaurant, the type you would find around the corner from your house. They would make it really soft, and the filling taste artificial. But here, the crab rangoons were made in a crunchy dumpling, and a freshly-made crab and cheese filling. In addition a delicious dipping sauce. I had tasted a lot of crab rangoons, but this was truly the best plate of crab rangoons I ever had. The next thing I had was a Kani salad. I never had a kani salad before, but as typical of me, I will always try new things. The salad itself was strips of imitation crab on top of cucumbers with avocado on top. All mixed is a spicy and creamy dressing. The salad overall was pretty delicious it reminded me of a certain type of sushi that I ate at a Japanese restaurant years prior. The last thing thing I had was a plate of General Tso’s Chicken. A beloved staple in American-Chinese culture. The chicken like, the crab rangoons, was also prepared differently then what I am used to. The chicken was much bigger and less chewy, than its inferior “The Chinese restaurant around the corner” counterpart. The chicken did not tasted like it was pre-packaged and was made fresh. Also the tangy sauce that it was served in, tasted like it was homemade. The overall experience at the restaurant was really pleasant. The family who owns it it, clearly put a lot of hard-work and effort into keeping the restaurant well-maintained and the food presentable. It saddens me to look at the reviews online and see a lot of “Karens” complaining about the most minor inconveniences about the food and the restaurant in general, because it is their only source of amusement in their overly pathetic lives. This restaurant is by far, clearly superior to all other Chinese restaurants in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Even superior to the much more popular Buddakan. No need for overly fancy food, or mediocrity-done meals. Just good ol fashioned, family-made meals. So when you have the time, I would strongly suggest checking out Duck Sauce restaurant. As it is the best Chinese food I had ever tasted in my life.
