Can dry material be used?

Post Body

I'm fairly new to this, made bubble hash some years ago, now I want to start again. I have some amounts of "old" dried product which I don't enjoy to vaporize, so I thought I might use this for practiser runs in the ice, before harvest time comes. So my questions, dies it work with dried material? Are there things I need to consider before using dried material? What are possible cons of using dried material? Thanks for any tips and hints

Entirely possible.

Main thing: Give the ice at least 30 minutes to melt and rehydrate your material.

There's some people who work in layers of ice-bud-ice-bud to improve soaking and reduce crushing but that might be placebo.

Use very little liquid water during the soaking phase.

Just soak and wash. The moment your material is dry enough to smoke putting it in the freezer is a waste of time.
