5/26 - if you look at both u/myownburial & u/tradsnsfw ive been documenting my journey to correcting my idiopathic toe walking. today, i went to my podiatrist who is also my surgeon. he took off my cast & he said to keep the incisions bandaged & to let the blister area dry out. he said i can clean around the incision & recovering blister. last saturday, i had blisters on this weird area of my leg & had to get those popped. my doctor doesnt know what this area is because this usually doesnโt happen. he says it could be an allergic reaction to something used during the surgical procedure but he is not sure what from. he says i can get wash it with warm water & soap if needed, as well as apply neosporin & a bandage. he wants me to start moving my foot & stretching it out to prepare me for a boot & physical therapy next week, june 2nd. he says that if im not proactive with moving my foot, the muscle can heal back up to how it was before. the whole point of my surgical procedure was to lengthen the muscle in my calf so that i can walk flatter on the ground. he is hoping that by next week, ill be able to put pressure on my foot & with physical therapy, it will be strengthening that muscle. he says that if that muscle shrinks back up, i have to get another procedure done that will be more invasive. right now, it is insanely difficult to move my foot. i can only move my toes a little bit. my foot feels tingly because it was in a cast, so im going to let that tingly sensation wear down for a few days before i begin applying pressure & stretching. overall, the pain is a lot better & subdued when i take an oxycodone as prescribed. will be adding to this in days to come
