Bed Stuy vs. Crown Heights?
Post Body

Currently living in (and loving Bed Stuy). I have a deal on a one bedroom that probably doesn't exist in this neighborhood anymore so I'll likely be renewing my lease for one more year come February, but like every New Yorker I'm always fantasizing about living somewhere else. :) I really like the vibe of Crown Heights, and every time I'm down there I think "Man, it'd be cool to live here!" Add to that the fact that it would address my two biggest concerns with Bed Stuy:

  • No real park in the neighborhood. Living right in between Domino Park and McCarren is literally the only thing I miss about living in Williamsburg and having Prospect Park right there would be game changer.

  • The train situation. Having the JMZ and G as my closest trains has tested my sanity countless times in almost a year in this apartment. Getting of the places I go often (except LES and my office in FiDi) feels like a huge chore.

For those of you who know both neighborhoods, how would you compare them and which do you prefer? I'm also interested in Prospect Heights but it seems like the prices there are really out of control. Any opinions would be helpful!
