Serious transmission issues at 95k miles (rant)

Post Body

I have a 2021 big bend that I'm a little fed up with. I drive a lot so I did put 95k miles on it, but I just spent $2,700 replacing the catalytic converter just a couple weeks ago.

Now there is a severe hesitation (10 seconds) between pressing on the gas and the vehicle moving at all. First thought is that it must be related to the cat repair, but other symptoms point pretty solidly towards transmission; it won't shift into park at all (have to put e brake on), will only intermittently shift into reverse. The independent auto shops won't touch it and the local ford dealers say their transmission people are booked 5 months out. Looking like I'll have to have it towed back to where I bought it from (1.5 hours away) in the hopes that they will give me slightly higher priority.

I'm just baffled that it's looking like I'll be without a vehicle for months and that I'm having major repairs back to back and dumping tons of money into a 3 year old vehicle.
