So, tonight I decided to treat myself for my upcoming trip to New York and I got a ticket to see the off-Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors which is great until I noticed I bought them for the wrong damn day. Instead of purchasing a ticket for the 26th, I bought one for the 27th, when I'll be heading back out of town. I immediately went back to the website and purchased a new ticket for the right day, but what do I do now with the other ticket? Am I able to get in touch the box office and have them undo that initial purchase? Is that a thing they can even do? Am I just stuck trying to sell the ticket for the date I won't be able to see? If so, what kinds of places can I do that? I'll be coming in from out of town, so I'm a little out of the loop. Normally I'm great about logistics but I just wasn't paying attention when I hit "buy". Do I have any easy way out of this?
So I had done similar for Corbin Bleu’s debut date and had bought I think a few days short of his debut. Quickly bought another ticket for the correct date and was stressing a bit on how I’d sell it (this was before the theatr app got popular).
I believe a day or so later I got a phone call and it was either a Telecharge rep or someone from the Little Shop box office (I didn’t ask tho I probably should have) and she said that she noticed I bought tickets for two different performances that were a few days apart and she wanted to double check that that was correct. So I called her back and explained the situation—she was so sweet and understood my situation, so she refunded me for the incorrect date.
I’d def reach out to telecharge or the Little Shop of Horrors box office if you can. If not then the theatr app might be your best bet.
