okay.. i just got out of the third preview and i’m kind of baffled by what i just saw. the politics are all over the place and the show could definitely use a dramaturg, for one. the costumes were very cheap. the choreography was laughably bad (the audience laughed multiple times at very not funny moments due to the choreo). they use beth leavel for maybe 10 minutes and leave a lot of questions unanswered for something biographical.

i saw people weeping in the audience and i simply don’t get it. based on what i saw, tamara de lempicka is not a very sympathetic character

pleaassee tell me i’m not alone/crazy

edit to add: this is by no means the worst show i’ve seen this season by a long shot. however, that is saying something about the state of broadway rn (at least according to my taste)
