So I was due to fly EDI>JFK via LHR back in Oct. Flight leaving EDI was delayed due to operational issues (pilot told us numerous times it was issue with brakes). So I missed my connection and ended up overnight at Heathrow and they flew me out the next day. Raised a claim under UK/EC261 and got nothing but automated emails for a couple of months. So escalated to CEDR this week and today I get this email which offers no explanation and says my case is closed. What does this mean? Are BA preparing to pay out or are they just telling me to do one? The tone of the email makes me think they are trying to suggest it wasn’t operational which is complete BS.
Watch your bank account. They direct deposited mine at like the 6 month mark without even notifying me that they paid me. 3 deposits just showed up in there for my lost luggage, delayed flight and they also issued me a voucher which I had no idea, until it was about to expire I got an email.
