To help combat the increasing unemployment and poverty that has been spreading to the Indian Empire, due to the devastating recent-ish American stock market crash, and to prepare for the hostilities that appear to be flaring up in Europe between Hungary and Romania, which our mother country of the United Kingdom may very well be dragged into, the Governor-General-in-Council has decreed that an additional $250,000,000.00 each year from the Indian defence budget, starting in the year of our Lord 1932, will be set aside to increae the membership capacity of India's two part-time, paid reserve forces, the Indian Territorial Force, which recruits from natives of the Indian Empire, and the Auxiliary Force, which recruits from ethnic Britons residing in India.

This act will ideally provide supplemental income to those currently living in poverty, while still allowing them time to work towards reestablishing a civilian career, and will also increase India's military readiness in the event that the Army of India is mobilized to fight in one of the British Empire's inevitable upcoming wars.
