After two years and 120 million dollars, the base designs of a new Turkish battleship were finally completed, and ready for a final two years of development and testing. This further development was expected to cost 150 million over the next two years, and would take place primarily at the Engineering Academy in Istanbul, the former Imperial School of Naval Engineering.
