Following the signing of the Lateran Treaty, Il Duce has called another speech to the public. In this speech he has announced a planned series of state trips to the Balkan nations, declaring:
For too long, have the Italian people remained away from the Balkans, the once proud bulwark of the Roman Empire has drifted away from the glorious city of Roma. This is something that can not allow to continue!
Thus, Il Duce shall go on a trip of goodwill, bringing the Balkan nations and the Kingdom of Italy closer together. He shall first go on boat to the Bulgarian coast, riding to Sofia, and stopping at the city of Tornovo, paying his respects at the Holy Forty Martyrs Church, before continuing on to Sofia and meeting with both Prime Minister Lyapchev and His Royal Highness Tsar Boris. Il Duce shall then go by rail north to the city of Bucharest and meet with the Regency of King Michael, Prince Nicholas Patriarch Cristea and Chief Justice Buzdugan. Following this visit Mussolini shall make his way to Budapest, meeting with Regent Horthy and Prime Minister Bethlen. Then he shall continue on to Vienna and meet with Chancellor Seipel and President Miklas, before heading south to Belgrade to meet with His Royal Highness King Alexander. Finally, he shall head to Tirana to meet with his Royal Highness King Zog, and then finish in Athens meeting with President Kountouriotis and Prime Minister Venizelos.
Of course, Il Duce knows this trip may take some time, with his return planned for late March early April, and therefore has decided to allow Secretary of State for Air, Italo Balbo, a famous member of the Quadrumvir, to act in his name while he is gone.
