Elder Penguin: HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE 26TH BRICKTON DISTRICT MEETING! EVERYONE GO SIT DOWN! But seriously, welcome to the meeting everyone. Please wait until we ask for hands to take questions, do not spam anything that can be distracting. This includes instruments, emotes, and eating and or drinking.

Elder Penguin: the elders are pikku, I, and applesauce. Our event organizer mason is here, and so is our scribe sky. Whose birthday also happens to be today.

Elder Penguin: As per usual, our meeting will begin with discussion topics, then the public will be able to come up and announce their own personal things, and then we will end with Q&A.

Elder Penguin: everyone has voted, and our term lengths have been extended to 5 weeks rather than 4, but we have to vote to see if they will be implemented this term or next. At this point we are only at week 2 of this term, so it is possible to apply it. We will be holding a vote in region chat to decide this, but please remain orderly and wait until. I give the signal to begin voting. Alright as everyone turns region on I'll explain how it'll work.

Elder Penguin: in our region we voted on whether the new term lengths would apply this term or next. After a quick glance it seems the I's have it, but there will be a count along with the minutes. So it seems that this term will begin the new length.

<Sid and Sand have a dispute much to the annoyance of the scribe and other members>

Elder Penguin: Having 5 weeks for the council rather than 4 leaving 3 weeks left for this specific council. Our next topic. The hoedown is hosting another tournament soon.

Elder Penguin: SID AND SAND I SWEAR TO GOD

Elder Penguin: the next hoedown is centered on district participation. It will contain teams from each district rather than random people going against one another. The town hall will be paying for the entry fee for whoever is voted to represent our district. But. We need to discuss as a district how to come up with said people or person honestly im not sure atm. Please raise your hands if you have suggestions on how we should do this. Palamo?

Palamo: Can we vote for ourselves?

Elder Penguin: Uh I guess so? But I think it'll depend on how we do the voting. melissa_stella?

Jmaster:what if, in order to get in the hoedown. You have to join the police force. You know. Community service.

Elder Penguin: Eh I don't think that'll be how we do it. But thanks for the suggestion. We have to move on through to the next topic. Elder Penguin: Frost_biten from the dunes has taken it upon themselves to organize a District Exchange Program. It involves each district sending one or two of their council members to another district for the week in exchange for two members from different districts from our council, me and Ender Inheritor will be going. We're not sure where we're headed yet, but we're part of the program. Brickton will receive two members from different districts as part of the community for the week. This is a good chance to get to make friends with someone new. So I want everyone to make sure you treat them with the upmost respect and politeness. Does anyone have any questions?

Minimac:should we keep this with allied districts?

Elder Penguin: mini we're not in charge of who goes where. It’s more for the council members to be able to get out there more.

Elder Penguin: uh well could you rephrase your question?

Minimac:for rp reasons, should we not do this with districts we have had wars with?

Elder Penguin: we’re not in control with whom we are partnered with

Elder Penguin: But I'm sure most we'd be allied with. <Smiles> Sky?

Scribe Sky:so will they be joining the council chat? Will they get full power? What if they send their scribe?

Elder Penguin: IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII don't know. I guess the council will have to discuss that.

Elder Penguin: I'm assuming that most will just be in game things, and not partaking in much of politic side of things other than attending meetings. Frost has given very minimal detail at this point though.

Elder Penguin: they’ll be from 2 different districts

Elder Penguin: the participation is decided upon by the district. I think many districts are involved at this point.
