Elder Ender: Welcome to the Brickton District Meeting.

Let's begin with announcements.

After many weeks of waiting, the Lords have finally opened up the Lords Mall!

The mall comes with thirty-three new plots available to rent (all of which have been taken), new emotes, such as /sick and /cry, many different styles of hats, instruments, a rentable portal and buyable contracts full of specialty food!

As a note, emotes, hats, and instruments cost SS stones to buy, which brings us into our next topic.

With the addition of the new hats, instruments, and emotes, a new currency was added to the server requiring real money to acquire. This currency is called "SS Stones" and is sold on the website. starting at $10 for 100 stones.

It's time for another cross district meeting after a very action-packed month. This meeting will be hosted by the folks over at Mainstreet Park at 600, 250 on December 19th, 6:00 PM EST.

BREAKING NEWS! We've just recieved news that the Toy Factory is now open! If we, peasants can create and wrap 72,000 presents by Nismas Eve (December 24th), then Lord Willakers said he'll give everyone in the city a gift!

Going onto our Local Announcements, In case you didn't hear at our last meeting, we have a Teamspeak now! So far, it's been a big success with everyone who has been using it. If you haven't joined it already, just download the Teamspeak 3 client and connect to the ip: teamspeak.vibdev.com and talk away!

You guys have voted, and the district has decided to hold it's district DvZ games once a week on Saturdays at 8 PM EST, directly following our district meeting! No one is forced to paricipate since we know it's a bit hard for some of the European people to join in at that time. We'll continue to work on a better system for the future, but for now we just wanted to get the district DvZ's started up again.

It's that time for nominations for your District Elders again. However, this time we've decided to change things up a bit; we've developed 5 new positions for our residents to strive for along with the seven Elder positions. As a side note, I would like to add that it's necessary to be a resident of Brickton in order to be nominated for any of the positions to follow.

The first two positions are scribe and as well as a backup scribe. At least one of the scribes is expected to be at our district meetings every week, and record minutes for them. In the past month, both Madiso and our current scribe, Niblexis, have performed this duty unofficially; however, after this election it will be official. The scribe is expected to be a fast typer, be able to be at most district meetings, and be focused during the meetings in order to record the events accurately.

The next position is the event organizer. Mason97m currently holds this position, however this election will be able to make it official. This person will be in charge of organizing all of the events the District plans to do. They will talk directly to both the Elder council and whoever else is involved in making sure the events run smoothly. They are allowed to pick an assistant to help them in their work, but they must be approved by the Elders. The Event Organizer should be an organized person, have good communication skills, and be able to be contacted through others means other than only in the city (on the server).

The last two positions are the Community Liaisons. These two individuals will be a bridge between the community and the Elder Council. They will be able to bring up issues to the council that we may be unaware of, and will also be maybe a little less intimidating to approach with issues to bring up. These people should be good communicators, very active on the server as well as with the community. They are not required to have any outside communication other than LoM itself, but it would be nice if they did.

The prerequisites for being eligible for running for Elder can be found at the entrance of the Town Hall. They are all the same except we have respecified the second on the list. Now, you must have lived in Brickton for at least the past month to be eligible, where before it could be interpreted as a month total. All people nominated for Elder will continue to be interviewed to make sure they meet these requirements. Since we have added new positions which require nominations, when nominating someone you must now specify what position you are nominating them for. Along with that, you can only accept a nomination for one position. For example, if Recker is nominated ofr Elder and Community Liaison, he can only accept and run for one of these positions. You can only nominate one person for one position.

Regarding elections, when it becomes time to vote now, we will be adding a brief of each person in the running. If you accept your nomination, make sure to send an Elder your description so they can add it to the voting form before that comes out.

One final thing about voting, our fellow Bricktonite, Faiden, has volunteered his time and energy to count the votes after they have been casted. We reached out to him to ensure the votes remain unchanged and fair, and to end any rumors of the Elders being corrupt and altering votes.

Faiden has promised to remain impartial toward anyone and not alter any votes after they have been casted. The Elder council will be there to assist him if he needs help checking whether or not people are registered on the census.

On that note, we are going to use the same census as last time. Found on the Letterpress.

Please register as a citizen of Brickton in the census if you wish to vote in the upcoming elections. Any votes casted without being registered on the census will be voided. Additionally, we will be redoing the census every other term.

In order to stay updated on who leaves the district, this means that everyone will have to register again after our 6th Elder Council is elected.

Now let us move onto our final section for the night; Q & A.

minimacsniper33: Will our new positions have the same length of 4 weeks?

Elder Ender: Yes.

JDrocks2013: Will we use reddit to vote for the other positions, including those that do not require reddit?

Elder Ender: We will be using Google Docs.

DraonEye: On the subreddit, will there be a list of the positions/jobs, and a brief description of them?

Elder Ender: We can add them to the subreddit when the nomination post goes up.

Minimacsniper33: Have we decided on Brickmas yet?

Elder Ender: That will be for our Community Event Organizer to plan, and Nismas doesn't have a date at the moment.

vinyle_octavia: What is For the Jimmies?

Elder Ender: A charity that Citrines runs to give money for those who need gold to build their plots.

MAJ_Jon: When signs are released, will the streets be labeled?

Elder Ender: We don't have permission to place signs on the streets.

Elder Penguin: Say Madiso is nominated for two positions. How does he go about picking what nomination to accept?

Elder Ender: He has to pick one.

Elder Penguin: Trick question! Madiso doesn't get nominated for two things!

Niblexis: Let's say Madiso gets nominated to be an Elder, but he really wants to be a Scribe instead. Can he deny the Elder nomination and get nominated for Scribe instead?

Elder Ender: Yes. You can be nominated for more than one thing, but can only accept one.

Elder Penguin: Do you suggest any good stores in the new mall?

Elder Ender: Fire Hardened Furnace on the third floor.

Elder Cole: Elder Ender has to take a break right now, I'll be handling the rest of the meeting.

thesneakyassasin: Can we put lights on the tree outside?

Elder Cole: Not at this current time.

This concludes the 19th Brickton District Meeting. Thank you all for attending.
