Elder Citrines:
Welcome, everyone, to the Brickton District Meeting!
Snow! Dang Donk has been hit with a furious snow storm, affecting the entire kingdom. You can now get out your shovels and dig this snow for a hefty profit at the market square, or have some fun snowball fights! Don't forget to bundle up, we don't want anyone catching pneumonia.
Moving on. No more water! It seems as though all of our major water sources have dried up this past week. The lake by the Grove and Magic Quarter is completely empty, and currently filling with snow. And the river running right by the market is dried up. Water is no longer sold at the market, and our only sources of water as of late are very small, and far and few inbetween. We advise that you ration your water well, as nobody is aware when the drought will end.
The next topic is Wooper's Resignation. We're very sorry to announce that earlier this week, Wooper decided to step down as a member of the Brickton Elder Council.
Elder Citrines: We'd like to thank Wooper for all of the hard work he was able to do during his term. We wish him good luck in his future adventures. He will always be welcomed back to Brickton with open arms, if he ever decides to return.
Lord Roamin: Leaving the district?
TheWooper: Already left, M'lord.
Lord Roamin: Well it was a good run and I'll miss you.
Elder Citrines: Over the past month or so, Elders have decided to create a status for those who we want to include in our decisions, but do not have the time to officially be an Elder.
We have dubbed people like this, "Council Advisors". These people were Elders at one point, but due to real life situations cannot afford to show up to all the meetings. However, us Elders still value their input upon situations that occur around Dang Donk.
Going along with our next topic, the Fourth Elder Council would like to recognize the first Brickton Council Advisor - Mr. Block Parser!
We would like to thank him for all the work he has done, being an Elder since the first group and being very much all of our fathers when we tend to get a little out of hand with one another. He has helped to lead Brickton since practically day one, giving up his own personal plot to take on plight of maintaining Town Hall.
On behalf of the Elders and I'm sure all of Brickton, we would like to welcome Block Parser to give one final hurrah as an Elder.
Elder Block: When I first moved to Brickton, we were a rag tag group of Bricklayers and Mortar-Mixers. Over the last few months, I have had the privilege of seeing our fine community grow, and develop what we have today. I am very proud of Brickton and its people. I have, no I know, this place will continue to be the best Fire Hardened district Dong Dank has ever seen. Thank you all so much.
Elder Citrines: Moving onto our discussion topic.
We would like to get the people's input on voting. Due to some abuse of our Strawpoll voting system during the last election, we've moved over to a Google Docs format.
We've also decided to try some new things this time around, such as: using a census to validate votes and voters, requiring interviews to get put on the ballot, and allowing Bricktonites to vote for their top three council members, rather than just their number one.
Since we have pretty much revamped the voting completely for this election, we would like to hear how everyone feels about it.
Alright, moving on. Elder Elections! Before we start, please save all applause until the end so that names don't get concealed with spam.
Bricktonites, tonight we say goodbye to our Elder Council.
Welcome back our current Elders:
Welcome back, Elder Penguin!
Welcome back, Elder Recker!
Welcome back, Elder Cole!
And welcome back, Elder Citrines.
Before we welcome new Elders, we reluctantly say goodbye to the Elders who are leaving us.
Goodbye, Elder Rex, even if you are not here with us today.
Goodbye, Elder Wooper.
And goodbye, Elder Block.
Finally, we will announce those who will be joining the Elder Council!
Welcome, Elder Scarlet_Lily!
Welcome, Elder EnderInheritor!
And Welcome, Elder Madiso!
We look forward to the future endeavors as the fifth Brickton Elder Council. Now we move onto the open Q&A.
Like20Bunnies: Lord Roamin, as you know a tragedy has recently befallen Brickton. Lord Willakers murdered our beloved Bricktonite, and your squire, Faiden. Upon news of his death, I constructed in his memory, his Memorial Hall. The hall rent was payed for by the community, but there is one thing missing. A block of lava for his fountain, which will symbolize his passion for Brickton.
Lord Roamin: I think that can be arranged.
CMAL_: Hello Bricktonites, I would like to announce that purpleholsterz and I will coordinate. We would like a volunteer to help us randomize names for Secret Santas. The link is: www.reddit.com/r/brickton/comments/2mxord/bricton_secret_santa/ The first day of this will be December 1st, and will go to the 20th.
Elder Citrines: Okay, with that, I would like to conclude the Elder Meeting. Thank you all for coming!
|Welcome Elders old and new, good luck this coming term!|
