Are they setting up Myers to be the game 1 starter?

I know everyone wants the bye but it's not likely anymore at this point. With Myers on the mound tonight that would give him a week between starts which is normal rest for him. A consistent schedule would only benefit him. Are we about to see a rookie go from cast off to post season ace?
