i love FTW, and i am liking Wasteland because it isnt EXACTLY like FTW, but it almost has the same vibes especially some of the 2nd half songs:

Role Model sounds a lot like FTW to me i love it, Jackie Brown sounds a similar to Lost Kids Get Money Money get lost if you dont chase it type vibes (both tracks are produced by L.3.G.I.O.N) and not to forge that Bad Luck sounds a lot like Let Me Know. (Which both songs are also produced by the same Producer; Los Hendrix) both Producers collab frequently with Brent on most of his work but makes sense to the comparisons

the first half of the album sounds great with all its kind of dark production tones to it, but 2nd half almost fees more lighter/sensitive as FTW did at times.

its just a small comparison that i’ve noticed and not the whole project but it does have some attributes from FTW involved in his now growing sound.

liking the album a lot still, thought it was funny cause people are on here claiming this project is so different from his other shit when it kind of takes the later and polishes it at times like how artist usually do.

Also feel like once everyone gets the singles out of the single category and incorporates it into the album they’ll love the album cause DMW, Wasting Time, PoF and Gravity are all bangers and really make this album awesome were all just used to them being seperate.

reminds me when Tame Impala released 4 singles of the 12 tracks off of The Slow Rush, took me forever to have them contribute to the album. So please i know its been a week just give the album life and let it breathe for some time, i know the 1 month/2 month posts will come but this album is really solid fun and fresh, so before you write it off give it some listens, some time then some more listens, brent snapped imo 🔥
