I'm a huge souls fan, and I really did enjoy Elden Ring too. There's just something about the way that BotW approached exploration and character building that was perfect. The moment that I confidently approached a Lynel head-on reminded me very much of the moment that I no longer feared the black knights in Dark Souls. One day I just was done with Elden Ring. Just uninstalled it and never missed it.

It's crazy how this game starts out. 3 hearts, brand new combat mechanics had me straight up RUNNING away from certain encounters. I was REALLY bad at this game at first, now Guardians and Lynels usually don't even knock a heart off of me - I love that if I fuck it up really badly though it can still turn disastrous.
