What’s helped me tremendously during my break up of 3 years.

I can’t say it’s a quick fix and it does take a little effort but these are things that have been helping get through this break up.

  1. Learn what’s going on really. For some reason I’ve found learning about the actual chemical reactions and the physiology during a break up helps put into perspective it’s not just you feeling like you’re going crazy but your literal mind being against you, and then finding small things can create a chemical reaction in you. Like exercise foods or simply things like coloring or sitting staring at something green. Ya know.

2.the ego or self identity I believe the past is our only knowing of ourselves. What we’ve been through what we do how we’ve reacted how we’ve felt before. All these past things make up ourself so when we lose someone who gave us purpose, something to do, someone to socialize, acceptance (we usually don’t give ourselves), we feel so lost. The future is unknown all of a sudden because we’ve built our happiness and meaning on the basis of another human. When they leave all your future goals ambitions even maybe reason to live are in danger. Its not your fault, but we must now relearn how to find meaning and happiness in ourselves.

3.Little changes To rebuild your sense of purpose in life and meaning, you gotta do new things or old things you haven’t don’t in awhile. Some of those things might’ve been with the other person, but if you genuinely liked doing It go do it by yourself. Go for a walk. Buy a skateboard. Try thrifting. Talk to yourself in the car. Write whatever you want don’t try and force nothin it’s all good. Read a book. Or collar a book. GO TO THE GYM OR A WALK. Drive to a nice park onna sunset. It’s so hard. But the only way to feel a sense of purpose again is by creating a future for yourself. To be healthier, smarter, and emotionally stronger and the universe will stem great things from those things and little by little day by day they’ll pass faster and you’ll do more and feel better and your sense of self is once again or maybe even for the first time truly within you and not a outside force.

4.NO CONTACT This is hard but whenever you go NC you must write or talk out loud or vent on your phone to someone but your mind will lie tremendously during this time. You go through so many scenarios of what they’re doing and why the left or how long this and that or what if etc etc. Thinking this and saying out loud feels a bit different. Make the effort to get it out your mind. The more you practice this you’ll find better response or even better questions about the whole reality of the situation. You really can go mad keeping it in your brain. Jus have the thoughts out in a physical form or something that’s not in your mind. Keeping yourself busy like I’ve mentioned is so vital. The hobbies and doing new things and trying new things, by yourself. Take this new canvas of your future and slowly add to the picture by doing things alone and away from your phone if possible and just get distracted. Venting or writing can be considered a distraction. It’s mostly the mind.

5.Last thing I’d say is pack your mind with knowledge. It sounds weird but it could help. The universe, black holes, philosophies (I like absurdism and Cosmicism and stoicism) stock market, crystals, clothes and making em, rock climbing, or running. Literally anything can be chosen and humans have created a great deal of knowledge for it.

Overall I’d say all these things are correlated with each other. Nothing is set in stone and is a quick fix. But these can help as a start to finding what is true happiness again. I’m still learning but I know the future has the possibility of being bright and exciting for all of us. There will be a day where we’ll be so conscious and at peace in the moment we know we’ll be just fine.
