I mean - DAMN. I can’t believe I was preparing to move to a new country and at any cost.

That cost being trading in a six-figure income with a clear promotion trajectory such that I could one day make half a mil to a mil each year, to move to what is, essentially, the third world of Europe (not saying Europe is the third world, just this country) and job prospects that would allow me to make only 1/5 of my current salary. All for someone who lied to me.

I no longer have to entertain the idea of leaving my home nation, my mother tongue, and my family behind to take literally any job so that I could relocate there. I was willing to trade that all away for someone who I loved, someone who didn’t even love me enough to be honest with me.

I am so glad the universe answered my prayer when it did.
